Education: The Tetzepi Method
The Tetzepi Method is the title of Tetzepi’s educational programme. The Tetzepi Method is used both in secondary education (at all levels and age groups) and for training amateur and semi-professional musicians. Tetzepi’s own music always forms the underlying foundation of the workshops. Our participants get to mess around in our musical kitchen, and together we prepare an exciting and adventurous musical dish, be it through composition or improvisation. So far, we have carried out some 45 Tetzepi Method projects.
The Bimhuis in Amsterdam hosts Not Another Schoolconcert (NAS) on an annual basis. NAS is a spectacular show featuring students from three different schools performing their own work. The show lasts throughout the evening and it goes without saying it features authentic Tetzepi music. The 2012 edition of NAS will take place on February 22.
The educational programme for secondary schools is sponsored by NFPK+, the Cultural Participation Fund, the Amsterdam Fund for the Arts and the Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds.
